My interests of research are in learning with narrative texts, metacognition and learning, and learning with interactive animations. Further, I am interested in research methods concerning learning and instruction. Before I came to Wuerzburg I worked in different research projects, mainly about pedagogical assessment. In 2009 I obtained my PhD about confidence judgments in self-regulated learning with hypermedia at the University of Koblenz-Landau. I work as a lecturer at the professorship for Instructional Media from 2011 to 2017, since 2017 at the professorship Psychology of Communication and New Media. I teach classes in the psychology of communication and research methods.

    Interests and research interests:

    • Learning with narratives
    • Metacognitions in self-regulated learning
    • Interactive animations, learning with pictures and texts
    • Educational-psychological diagnostics and methods.
