The CHI 2025 conference of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) took place from April 26th to May 1st in the PACIFICO center in Yokohama, Japan.

The Manager Magazin has named 23 women who are shaping the future of Artificial Intelligence in Germany — among them is Professor Carolin Wienrich from the University of Würzburg.

Dr. Max Tretter and his seminar group from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg visited the University of Würzburg on 13 June 2025 for a guest lecture on ethics in Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality. The lecture was part of the course Human-AI Interaction, taught by Dr. David Obremski.

On May 16th, 2025, members of the HCI and PIIS groups gathered in the White Labs of the CAIDAS Building for an intensive, hands-on Reality Stack Embodiment Workshop. Organized by Florian Kern, Jonathan Tschanter, and Christian Merz, the event brought together employees and student workers to explore the groups' XR embodiment solution using Unity 6 and the Meta Quest 3.

Dr. David Obremski was nominated by the University of Würzburg for the Dissertation Award of the German Informatics Society.

At this year's Stiftungsfest, David Obremski received the Dissertation Award of the University of Würzburg and the Unterfränkische Gendenkjahrstiftung for his Dissertation 'Mixed-Cultural Intelligent Virtual Agents' supervised by Prof. Dr. Birgit Lugrin.
