38th Annual Conference of the German Society for Music Psychology

The 38th Annual Conference of the German Society for Music Psychology will take place from 2 to 4 September 2022 at the Institute Human-Computer-Media of the University of Würzburg. The conference will focus on "The Psychology of Popular Music". Popular music should not be limited to pop music, but should include any form of music that enjoys popularity among certain target groups - including hip-hop, heavy metal, Schlager, folk music or film and series music. In order to present the research subject in all its dimensions as far as possible, submissions from a wide range of psychological perspectives are welcome. This could include, for example, emotional psychology, social and developmental psychology, media psychology, psychoacoustics, educational psychology and psychotherapy, all of which illuminate the spectrum of popular music from very different angles. As always, free contributions from other subject areas are also welcome. In order to provide space for as many presentations as possible, there will be no keynote speeches at the 38th annual conference in Würzburg.
