How a Clinical Decision Support System Changed the Diagnosis Process: Insights from an Experimental Mixed-Method Study in a Full-Scale Anesthesiology Simulation

In einer mixed-method Studie untersuchten wir die Auswirkungen eines Entscheidungsunterstützungssystem auf die Entscheidungsfindung in Anästhesieteams während simulierter Krisen im Operationssaal. Das Entscheidungsunterstützungssystem homogenisierte die Entscheidungsfindung, stärkte das Pflegepersonal und führte zu Reibungen zwischen analytischem und intuitivem Denken.

Größer ist nicht immer besser: eine Studie zu Datendarstellungen in sozialen Räumen

Wie beeinflusst die Größe von physischen Datendarstellungen das soziale Miteinander in Ausstellungen und Museen? Um dieser Frage nachzugehen, haben wir in einer Laborstudie untersucht, wie viel soziale Interaktion zwischen zwei Personen stattfindet, wenn sie mit Datendarstellungen in zwei unterschiedlichen Größen interagieren. Die Ergebnisse zeigen keinen klaren Vorteil größerer Objekte – und werfen damit Fragen nach der Nachhaltigkeit solcher Designentscheidungen auf.

AR Cue Reliability for Interrupted Task Resumption Affects Users' Resumption Strategies and Performance

Hinweise, die über augmented reality angezeigt werden, helfen Usern bei der Wiederaufnahme von unterbrochenen Aufgaben. Wir konnte zeigen, dass auch Hinweisreize mit einer reduzierten Reliabilität immer noch bei der Wiederaufnahme helfen, aber die User ihre Wiederaufnahmestrategien anpassten.

Resound: A Moment of Reflection in a Techno-Spiritual RtD Inquiry

Wie könnten interaktive Technologien aussehen, die bewusst für den Einsatz in spirituellen Kontexten gestaltet werden? In diesem research through design Projekt, angesiedelt am Open Lab (Newcastle University), entwickelten wir im Dialog mit praktizierenden Buddhist:innen die Resound Sphere. Die Resound Sphere ermöglicht es, der Praxis des gemeinsamen Mantra-Singens auch auf Distanz nachzugehen. Das Pictorial dokumentiert wichtige events des Gestaltungsprozesses und ist selbst Teil dieses andauernden Gestaltungsprozesses.

Measuring Intuitive Use: Theoretical Foundations

Intuitive Nutzung ist ein notorisch vages Konzept. Auf Grundlage eines Literaturüberblicks schlagen wir vor, dass eine hohe Effektivität, ein geringer kognitiver Aufwand und ein starkes metakognitives Gefühl der Geläufigkeit (fluency) die definierenden Merkmale der intuitiven Nutzung sind, während viele andere Messungen typische Korrelate dieser definierenden Merkmale sind.

Segen Interaktiv: Die interdisziplinäre Entwicklung eines außerschulischen Lernortes zu interreligiösen Segensräumen

Wie könnten interaktive Technologien im Kontext interreligiösen Lernens eingesetzt werden? Dieser Frage gingen wir im Forschungsprojekt „CoTeach“ nach und entwickelten gemeinsam mit der evangelischen Religionspädagogik 13 „Blessing Machines“, die öffentlich in der Jugendkirche Hamburg ausgestellt wurden. Jede Blessing Machine ermöglicht einen anderen Zugang zum Thema „Segen“ und integriert ganz unterschiedliche Technologien (z.B. KI, VR, Apps, DJ Pulte,..). Der Artikel gibt eine Kurzzusammenfassung des Projetvorgehens und der Blessing Machines und reflektiert die interdisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit.
