The "XR meets Health" event

On November 14th, 2023, at 2 pm, the XR Hub Würzburg and the XR Hub Nürnberg, in collaboration with Siemens Healthineers, present the online event "XR meets Health“ via Zoom. It will feature a keynote by Andre Brauers from Immersive and Digital Education at Siemens. Following this, attendees will be taken on a digital tour through the Chairs of Human-Computer Interaction and Psychology of Intelligent Interactive Systems.

The research showcases how XR can enhance physical and psychological well-being, and support medical training. With key features of XR—such as embodiment, gamification, and simulation—it becomes feasible to modify and optimize body and self perception, motivate patients, and facilitate training in pivotal health-related contexts. After introducing our projects, we'll foster an open dialogue, to discuss about the potential advantages and inherent challenges of integrating XR in healthcare.
