MOTIV at the AI.BAY
02.03.2023Artificial intelligence is increasingly shaping our everyday lives. How intelligent voice assistants and chatbots can influence us was presented and discussed by MOTIV's interdisciplinary project team at the Bavarian international AI congress "AI.BAY" on February 23, 2023 at the Deutsches Museum in Munich.
At the exhibition booth of the third-party funder bidt, interested parties from predominantly industry and politics were able to test their competence in dealing with intelligent interactive systems and then learn about the means the project team is using to try to reduce potentially dangerous misperceptions. The focus here was on a chatbot application that was designed to entice people to divulge sensitive data through human-like characteristics, as well as a quiz module on how intelligent voice assistants work. The latter represented the training modules on digital interaction skills developed in the project, such as learning videos and learning games.
The lively exchange on site reinforced the relevance of the project's intention to create awareness for problematic effects of communicative AI in particular.
