What can you expect at a wine tasting in the Residence Wine Cellar?

• Secco reception
• Guided tour through the historic vaulted cellar
• Wine cellar splendidly illuminated with candles
• 6 selected estate wines
• Expert wine commentary
• Bread + mineral water

You can choose from the following alternatives for the snack platters:

• Cheese plate (e.g. cheese specialities, soft and hard cheese, cream cheese, dressed Camembert, butter, bread)
• Ham and cheese platter (ham specialities, cheese selection, cream cheese, butter, bread)
• Franconian snack platter (fresh homemade sausage specialities, ham selection, cheese selection, butter, bread)
• Vegan plate(seasonal selection of vegan products)
• Gourmet plate (for an additional charge of €4: Ham selection, cold roast, poultry breast, fish terrine, game pâté, raw milk cheese, blue cheese, butter, bread selection)

Cost: 29€ (for the gourmet platter: 33€). This is an offer that we are making to participants as part of the conference. Normally the price for the wine tour incl. snack plate is at least 55€.

Would you like to take part in the wine tasting but don't drink alcohol yourself? No problem. You will be provided with mineral water and apple spritzer during the wine tasting - and you will receive a bottle of the tasted wines, which you can then enjoy at a later date or give as a gift.

The price for the wine tasting is even cheaper for students and academic staff on half-time positions thanks to cross-financing from the DGM:

• Cheese plate, ham and cheese plate, Franconian snack plate and vegan plate for €19
• Gourmet plate for 23€

Important: Binding pre-registration required by 15 August, including choice of plate!

To take part in the wine tasting, please register for the DGM (including choice of snack plate) by 15 August 2022. When registering, participation in the wine tasting and the choice of snack plate will be requested and thus firmly booked/not booked. Registrations after this date or changes to the booking are unfortunately not possible for organisational reasons.

The Residenz is within walking distance of the conference venue (approx. 8 minutes). If you wish to use public transport, please take the bus to the bus stop "Mainfranken Theater" or "Residenzplatz".
