How to Reach Würzburg
Würzburg is very well connected to all means of transport:
The main station (Würzburg Hauptbahnhof) is a hub for high-speed rail so that you can reach the city easily from all major European cities. For example, a train ride from Frankfurt am Main to Würzburg takes 1 hour and from Munich to Würzburg less than 2 hours. Berlin and Hamburg can be reached in 4 hours, Amsterdam and Paris in about 6 hours, Prague and London in 8 hours and Warsaw in 9 hours.
The next airports are Frankfurt am Main (FRA) and Nuremberg (NUE). Both airports can be reached in less than 90 minutes by train. The airports Düsseldorf (DUS), Köln/Bonn (CGN), Munich (MUC), and Frankfurt-Hahn (HHN) are about 2 hours 30 minutes to 3 hours 30 minutes, Memmingen/Munich-West (FFM) 4 hours away.
The city is connected to three highways (Autobahn): With the A3 and the A7, the main east-west and the main north-south axes pass through Würzburg. The A81 starts near Würzburg and leads to Switzerland.
Getting Around in and Around Würzburg
In the city itself, there is a dense tram and bus network. Many attractions of the city are well within walking distance from the hotel and the site of the summer module course. Reaching out to the region is easy via regional trains, or you could easily rent a bike to get around.
